KG Hawes’ Annual Dessert Auction Raises Big Bucks for United Way
KG Hawes, as an affiliate of Hawes Group, is proud to participate in a variety of Charity and Community Outreach events throughout the year. Though each of our annual events holds a special place in our hearts, none is sweeter than the dessert auction. Every year employees from each of the local affiliate companies participate in a ‘battle of the bakers’ for a chance to win the honor of possessing the coveted “Golden Whisk.”
Here are some highlights from this year…
We had quite the spread, with a variety of goodies from our staff’s own unique home recipes- Just check out the traditional Gulab Jamun! (right)
We have some truly talented bakers! Jamie Bidwell, one of our best Customer Support Analysts, brought her famous Scotcheroos.
As you can see there was no shortage of colorful treats.
It was one of KG Hawes’ Automation Analysts, Andrew Garvin, who took first place with a bid of $40 for his homemade apple pie.

As in years past, the auction this year was a great success. In just three short hours, we raised nearly $500 for United Way! And so, for the lucky bidders who went home with a delicious treat, it was just the icing on the cake. We are already hungry for next year…
